This organization was formed at the Ludlow Boys Club in 1966 and is known as the Suburban Amateur Football League (SAFL).
The Suburban Amateur Football League, SAFL serves the youth of Western MA. in grades 3 to 8.
The SAFL endorses the concept of maximum athlete participation at all levels of play in the league. The SAFL encourages and enables youth to benefit from
participating in football in a safe and structured environment. Throughout our league we teach sportsmanship, fundamentals, teamwork, skills and knowledge that youth will use throughout their
lives.
The next league meeting will be on March 9th 6pm on Zoom.
Invites will be sent out to all League Presidents.
Dear Suburban Amatuer Football Families,
The Suburban Amatuer Football League will be cancelled for the 2020 fall season. Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, it is in the best interest for the health and safety of the players, coaches, officials, volunteers, and families to not move forward with a season in the Suburban Amatuer Football League. After reviewing the guidelines set forth by Governor for athletes, team staff, and officials, the difficult decision was made to cancel the 2020 Suburban Amatuer Football League season. The requirements and guidelines are complex and cumbersome for a youth football league. Although, this decision weighed heavily on all of us, the importance of keeping our players, coaches, officials, volunteers, and families safe outweighed a decision to move forward with a regular season.
Please contact your local league officials with any questions and concerns.
Thank you for your understanding, stay healthy and safe.
